CSR – UN Global Compact

At Staun & Stender we are committed to work continuously with improving our value-based leadership and drive better corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the benefit for our customers and employees. In our organisational leadership and learning, we are committed work with the UN Global Compact, helping the world to be a better place to live-in by working with the 10 principles:

Corporate social sustainability starts with our core beliefs and values that management applies in how we conduct business. This means we are clear on our values, and we put an effort into the value-based system aligns well with the fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. All of our policies and values are aligned to best practice to make our company a place where people have fun, like to share methodologies, feel recognition for the things they do, and act jointly as a team to help our customers to succeed with digital planning and compliance reports that ideally can also be used to track their CSR and compliance towards the 2030 UNĀ  agenda for sustainable development.

It means in practice, that we operate an office that is paperless; we put an effort into traveling on bike; we focus on recycled products, drink coffee from organic beans, etc. With our conscious focus on values and principles, we help the sustainability of the planet, and we strive to work with a selected set of seven goals from the 2030 UN agenda for sustainable development to make it relevant for our business as an advisory and solution provider.

  • Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities
  • Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
  • Goal 8: (Achieve) sustainable economic growth and productive employment and decent work for all
  • Goal 9: (Build) sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
  • Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
  • Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

 

By incorporating the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact into our defined values, our culture, and our policies and practices, we are committed to continue to work to be the preferred workplace with a culture of integrity, honesty and upright responsibilities – for the benefit of the employees, customers and planet. The 10 UN Principles are:

Human Rights

Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and

Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Labour

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;

Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;

Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and

Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;

Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and

Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
